The dispensary’s CEO says the event marks how Colorado’s legal cannabis industry is now a mature and full-fledged part of the state’s retail sector.
One of Colorado’s oldest and largest recreational marijuana dispensaries is marking Black Friday with a three-day series of door-buster specials during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Starting at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time on Friday, November 27 and running through Sunday November 29, The Grass Station will be offering significantly-reduced prices on a wide variety of items; from its award-winning cannabis strains to edibles, vape pens and apparel.
Just like last year, The Grass Station will kick off its Friday-after-Thanksgiving sales by offering ounces of cannabis for $50 to the first 16 customers that day. There will also be five dollar grams for the first 10 customers and $1 marijuana “cones” or cigarettes to the first 60 customers.
A major difference, however, is that the company now has two outlets in the Denver area – one its original downtown location and another in the city’s Stapleton district – which will both be taking part in the deals.
“We’re celebrating the fact that Colorado’s legal recreational sales of cannabis are now in their second full year, and that cannabis has become part of the state’s mainstream retail sector,” says Grass Station founder and CEO Ryan Fox. “Like other retailers we’re helping consumers out with their holiday shopping by offering some very special sales and really good discounts.”
Like other retailers during the holiday weekend, The Grass Station is preparing for the sales rush by bringing in extra staff to handle the expected high volume of people looking for holiday gifts.
While marijuana and products containing marijuana are not allowed outside of Colorado, The Grass Station has a wide variety of cannabis-themed gifts available for out-of-state shoppers; from inexpensive lanyards and insulated beer coolers to hand-blown glass pipes, as well as high-end apparel and hats.
Out-of-state shoppers can go to The Grass Station web site to select their non-marijuana gifts, and then order those items via email at: info(at)grassstation(dot)com.
“We appreciate how our customers, both Colorado residents and people from all over the U.S. and other countries, have made The Grass Station their choice for high-quality and reliable cannabis,” says Fox. “And this Black Friday event is one of the times when we can show our gratitude by helping customers with their holiday shopping.”
